Famous Americans in History Glogster Project
Welcome to the beginning of your historical adventure. You are going to have the ability to go on a journey with the likes of Albert Einstein, George Washington or even Walt Disney.
You will draw the name of a famous person in American History and then you will go to computer lab to research 5 significant events in that persons life and write 2 sentences about each and find a picture to represent each. After you have finished researching and saving the pictures to their flashdrives, you will create an online poster using Glogster EDU
http://edu.glogster.com/
Some of the websites that you can use to find information about your person are:
http://www.harcourtschool.com/ss1/biographies/
http://www.biography.com/
http://www.avl.lib.al.us/
http://www.u-s-history.com/pages/h1551.html
http://americanhistory.about.com/od/historicalfigures/
Make sure you cite all your sources on the handout provided and also save your 5 pictures on your flashdrive. We will need to use both labs for this project so you can not save on the computer.
Next, you will go to Glogster and login. I will give you your nickname and password. After you login, you will create a glog. The template you need to choose is Timeline Stickers. I will show you how to change the text and how to add your images. You will need to add images to glogster before you start. We may be able to add a video as well. I hope this is fun. This project is worth 100 points.
